Blood Type Diet
The blood type diet was created by Dr. Peter D’Adamo. The diet by blood type is supposed to make you feel weight, feel healthier, and reduce your risk of certain diseases. The Theory Dr. D’Adamo believes that your blood type and diet should be directly correlated. He feels that your blood group determines how your body will handle different nutrients. This theory is based on the fact that each blood type has it own unique antigen marker. This marker reacts negatively with some foods and can lead to health problems. In principle a diet according to blood type will enable your body to digest and absorb foods more effectively, allowing you to lose weight. In addition, Dr. D’Adamo believes that the different blood types developed at different times during history. Therefore the blood type diets should be based on what our ancestors ate when our blood type originated. Blood Type O According to Dr. D’Adamo this was the first blood type to evolve. It is believed to have been the blood type of our ancestors in 50,000 B.C. Based on this a blood type o diet should include high protein and meat based foods primarily. This diet should include no dairy, wheat or grain products. Blood Type A Type A blood originated around 15,000 B.C, when our ancestors began to farm. Based on this a blood type A diet is more vegetarian based. People with this blood type should stick primarily to fruits and vegetables. Blood Type B Blood type A supposedly emerged around 10,000 B.C. Because this blood group originated in nomads it is believed that a blood type B diet can get away with various food groups. They can eat dairy, meat, grains and vegetables. Blood Type AB Type AB blood originated only 1,000 years ago. This means that this blood type should eat a combination of type A and Type B diets. Conclusion Is the blood type diet safe? Well, this diet is not considered very risky. You should always be wary of diets that prohibit food groups in their entirety.
