La Weight Loss
LA Weight Loss centers began sprouting up in the late 1980’s. By 1989 there were LA weight loss clinic in 48 states, with over 650 stores. There is even a LA weight loss Canada and in Europe. The Basics The LA weight loss system has diet counselors who gather information on your weight, height, age, medical history and physical activity level. An LA weight loss diet plan is then customized for you. Dieters will follow there prescribed diet, sticking to LA weight loss recipes. They are taught how to select and prepare foods in a healthy manner. Counseling sessions and weigh- ins are also arranged. How It Works The LA diet is broken up into three phases. The first phase is aimed at weight loss. During this phase of the LA weight loss program you eat somewhere between 1,100 and 1,800 calories a day. After the dieter has reached their weight loss goal they will switch into a six week stabilization phase. The third phase of the LA shape diet is a maintenance phase, where counseling is utilized to help keep the weight off. The LA weight loss center fees amount to between five and eight dollars a week plus the cost of food. Keep in mind that while the center will try to encourage you to buy directly from them you can shop at regular grocery stores or buy wholesale LA weight loss diet products. What You Can Eat You can eat as much meat, fruits, vegetables, and starches as you want. However, your fat intake is limited. LA weight loss reviews also encourage you to take supplements while on this diet. Disadvantages of the Diet While this diet does report significant results for most dieters, it does become rather costly. The counselors sometimes act as salespeople, trying to push the company’s products. If you buy all of the food, supplements, and nutrition bars directly from the LA weight loss center, the program can become expensive. Also, you should keep in mind that the counselors are not trained professionals; rather they are former clients that work on commission. This may be a conflict of interest and counselors may not have your best interest in mind. This probably varies from center to center and counselor to counselor.
